How do i get my Football CV out there?
We have been receiving lots of emails from players asking how do we get our football CV out to people that matter.
Well here is some advice to make sure you are proactive and doing all you can to make sure you get to where you want to.
Cover Letter
Do you need a cover letter? No if you are sending it as email. Your CV will be going to coaches and scouts not CEO of major businesses, miss out some of the formalities and make sure they see your attributes as a player quickly. If you are attaching it to an email make sure you outline you age, position and nationality.
Who do i send it to?
Getting it out to people who matter is vital. Therefore we have attached all Premier League and Football League Clubs emails below. You may get an invite, you may get a response, you may not. Don’t give up!!!

What do i put in my CV?
Make sure its relative to you and explains what your good at. Highlight your impact sentence, make it stand out. Eg ‘Creative midfielder player with an eye for goal’
Put in information that relates to what you do in football. Coaches don’t need to know that you enjoy reading and nights out at the cinema!!!
Keep it updated
Make sure you keep your CV updated. Coaches make look for how you have been playing recently. Aim to update every 3-4 moths.
Have it on your phone
You never know when you might need to send it someone, if you have it on your phone, you can send it. You might see a scout at end of the game and he asks for your CV. Boom!! You have it ready while you are fresh in scouts mind.
Social Media
Don’t be shy to put it out on social media, you never know who may see it. Use the hashtags and be proactive.

Again….. be proactive. Have it on your phone ready to send. You never know when you may meet someone who could kick start your career.
